VIZ publishes the series under its VIZ Signature imprint at a 5¾ × 8¼-inch trim, larger than the 5 × 7½ inches VIZ lists for a Shonen Jump series such as Kaguya-sama, with story and art by Satoru Noda. The last books run longer than the first: Volume 30 has 248 pages and Volume 31 has 264, against 192 for Volume 1.
What the full run costs
List prices vary between $12.99 and $14.99 a volume. The publisher list prices recorded in our Golden Kamuy catalog on October 12, 2026 add up to $434.69 for all 31 books, about 6,460 pages. That is a sum of dated list prices, not a store offer, and VIZ's product pages note that actual prices may vary. If cost decides the question, buy Volume 1 first: VIZ's description sets out the premise of a Russo-Japanese War veteran, a map to hidden Ainu gold and the Ainu girl Asirpa, which is enough to judge whether the mix of survival story and treasure hunt is for you.
Filling gaps
Each volume is a separate numbered book, so finishing a partial shelf means listing the numbers you own and buying the rest. A used lot sold as "Golden Kamuy manga" does not identify its contents; ask for the numbers. Match the ISBN on the listing to the paperback if that is the format you want, because a digital copy is a different purchase.
Coming from the anime
The manga finished in Japan in April 2022, ANN reports, while the anime's last arc is still unaired; the watch order has the details. That makes the manga the only complete version of the story for now. We have not established which volume follows the anime's latest episode, so this guide does not name a later starting point. VIZ's Volume 29 description, which brings the groups to Goryokaku in Hakodate, at least shows where the closing volumes are set.
