Dragon Ball Volume 7 begins with Red Ribbon Army soldiers demanding the Dragon Balls left at Kame House. Its inspected contents establish chapters 73 to 84. This is the original English Dragon Ball run, rather than Dragon Ball Z or Super, and the opening continues the pursuit from the preceding book. The brief analysis follows the attack on the house and the cut back to Goku's group in a cave. It does not cover the later encounters named in the contents.

The soldiers arrive with weapons and information about the radar, but their estimate of the old man is badly wrong. Kame-Sen'nin knocks them down and survives their gunfire. That superiority does not make everyone else safe: taking Lunch hostage creates a problem he cannot solve simply by having beaten the attackers. Her sneeze changes the situation, and she attacks the captor herself. The comic interruption gives her a decisive role without requiring a claim that the group had planned it. Kame-Sen'nin then asks the beaten soldiers to remove their companions, while the next scene leaves Goku's party pursued underwater. Local success has not ended the broader chase. This reading covers only printed pages 7 to 17 of the licensed VIZ preview, including the opening chapter title page.
