Which edition to buy
Start with single Volume 1 or a collected opening book. This inventory covers sixteen English singles, five VIZBIG books, their complete box and fourteen continuous 3-in-1 books. Full-color lines, Super, spinoffs and historical printings are outside its scope.
Dragon Ball Z follows the sixteen singles and restarts at Z Volume 1. The 3-in-1 run keeps the Dragon Ball title: book 6 contains unified volumes 16–18, crossing that boundary. Recorded contents cover Dragon Ball 1–16 and Z 1–26: book 6 contains Dragon Ball 16 plus Z 1–2, and book 7 starts at Z 3. The per-volume and savings figures compare these same forty-two singles. Its list total buys the combined story, so compare its coverage before its price. The separate Z catalog covers Z singles, VIZBIG and the box.
VIZ identifies VIZBIG 5 as final without enumerating its contents in the checked description. Exact membership remains unrecorded, so no full-run per-volume or savings calculation is shown.
