Chapters 227 to 236, and the book where One Piece changes what it is about. Up to here the crew has been solving islands: a tyrant, a town, a fight, out. This one hands them an old story that everyone alive treats as a lie, and a man descended from the liar who has spent his life diving for proof, and it makes believing him the plot. The practical business around that is a current that throws ships into the sky and a bird that has to be caught first, and Bellamy is still in the town. Chapter 232 is titled 'The 100 Million Berry Man', which is the other change here: the world outside raises its price on the crew. Mont Blanc Cricket is the argument. He is descended from a man remembered as a liar, and he has spent his life underwater looking for the city anyway, which is the shape One Piece gives to nearly every inherited obligation it writes afterwards. Bellamy robbing him is what finally gets Luffy to fight, and the payback is deliberately not a contest: the gap the volume measures is between a pirate who mocks other people's dreams and one the government has just priced at a hundred million. That bounty lands in this book rather than in the arc that earned it, and it is the first time the price on him is large enough to make him someone else's problem. The book ends with the Straw Hats riding a vertical current up into the sky, which is the largest thing the series has asked a reader to accept so far, and it asks without a joke.
