- Season 10: Thriller Bark ep. 337–381
Eleven chapters, 471 to 481, and the point where Thriller Bark stops being a haunted house and becomes a losing fight. The crew is up against the giant the previous book ended on, and the man who put a shadow in it is still loose on the island, which is the whole situation the volume runs on. The cover title is 'Nightmare Luffy'. What earns that title is the one thing here a reader should find out in the book rather than on a web page, so it is kept below. A viewer is inside season 10 throughout. Viz prints it at 232 pages for $11.99.

Oars is the crew's worst outing to this point. The giant is already winning when Moria joins it, and the Straw Hats are taken apart rather than worn down. What turns it is borrowed. Luffy finds the shadowless pirates Moria has been farming, they hand him a hundred shadows clawed back off the island's zombies, and he fights the giant as the thing the cover calls Nightmare Luffy. It is one of the few times this series lets its captain win with power that is not his own. Moria's counter is the better idea: with the fog thinning and the sun coming up, he swallows every shadow on the island and simply waits. An arc that opened as a gag about a skeleton is now a countdown to sunrise, and the shadowless are what burns.
