Two things end in this book: the Whole Cake Island anime and Box Set 4. Season 19 ends on the crew's voyage into a whirlpool off Wano, and season 20 opens inside Wano on chapter 909, 'Seppuku', the ninth of the ten chapters here. A viewer arriving from the anime therefore buys this volume for a single chapter and then starts the next book clean. Chapters 901 to 910 open with the Sunny still being chased and close somewhere else entirely. Viz states Box Set 4 as volumes 71 to 90 at $214.99, so this is the last book in it, and a reader on the set route stops here until Box Set 5 ships. Viz lists two hundred pages at $11.99 for the single.

The arc does not end when the escape does. Jimbei stays behind to hold Big Mom with the Sun Pirates, having spent the last three books getting the crew out. Luffy's new bounty is the series keeping score: he reads it as a demotion because he missed a zero, and it has in fact tripled to 1.5 billion Berries. Then the book leaves the Straw Hats entirely for the Reverie, where the Revolutionary Army's commanders arrive to free Bartholomew Kuma and fight two Admirals, the Fish-Man Island delegation walks into Marijoa, and a threat is made that nothing here explains. Chapter 909 is already in Wano, with four of the crew working under assumed local names. One of those names is a buying fact. Our fact-check zoro-zolo-renamed establishes that Viz's licensed manga prints the swordsman as 'Zolo', so the alias printed in the book a reader actually buys is 'Zolojuro'.
