“Bread shaped like me? Ooh, I'm gonna be a bread roll, yummy!”
Guilmon Quotes
2 quotes from Digimon Tamers, each with commentary on what it means and why it stuck.
“I need a bigger tummy, Takato, can you draw me one?”
Kazu earlier argues that his drawn blue card might work because, he says, Takato created Guilmon with a drawing. Guilmon's later request for a revised stomach turns that account of creation into an available service. The joke asks the supposed creator to keep working: a body that already exists can still have limits its owner wants changed.
Takato's father couples the promised bread with a request that Guilmon protect his son. Guilmon agrees and immediately asks about peanut butter filling. The appetite does not invalidate the promise. It lets the adult bargain with a creature whose pleasure he can understand, instead of treating the introduction as a test of whether a Digimon can behave like an adult.
