“It would take more than a piece of plastic to control me.”
Terriermon Quotes
2 quotes from Digimon Tamers, each with commentary on what it means and why it stuck.
“Draw him some self control.”
Henry immediately asks how many buns Terriermon has eaten, and the answer runs up to twelve before losing count. That interruption saves the scene from becoming a lecture on Guilmon's appetite. Terriermon can diagnose another creature's excess while exempting his own, so the joke's authority lasts exactly as long as nobody checks the speaker.
Mr. Wong describes a device designed both to communicate with Digimon and to control them; Henry treats Terriermon's disobedience as a possible malfunction. The supposed fault is the best feature of the relationship. Terriermon can answer back, so a tool that reaches him has not thereby acquired the right to command him.
