Uzumaki Manga: One Hardcover, Plus a Coloring Book
The whole of Uzumaki is one VIZ hardcover, the 3-in-1 Deluxe Edition. What that book is, what the “3-in-1” does and does not mean, and why the coloring book is a separate purchase.
To own Uzumaki in English, buy one book: VIZ’s Uzumaki (3-in-1 Deluxe Edition), a 648-page hardcover holding the complete manga. “3-in-1” describes what was gathered into it; it is not a three-book set, and there are no further volumes to order.
The book
| Book | ISBN-13 | Release | Pages | US list |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Uzumaki (3-in-1 Deluxe Edition) | 9781421561325 | October 15, 2013 | 648 | $35.00 (digital $23.99) |
VIZ publishes it under the VIZ Signature imprint at 5¾ × 8¼ inches, with a Teen Plus rating. The publisher’s description ends: “The bizarre masterpiece horror manga is now available all in a single volume.” The manga section of VIZ’s Uzumaki page, headed “Read Junji Ito manga”, lists this hardcover as the only Uzumaki book, alongside other Junji Ito titles.
The coloring book is not a missing volume
The Uzumaki Coloring Book (ISBN 9781974728398, March 15, 2022) is an 80-page, 10 × 10 inch paperback of Ito’s art “transformed into coloring book format,” not part of the story. If a seller bundles it with the hardcover as a “complete Uzumaki set,” you are buying the same manga plus an activity book. Buy it if you want it; you do not need it to finish anything.
Older copies
Our catalog records only this edition; we have not established any earlier English edition from publisher records, so this guide does not list or compare one. If you are offered a copy with a different ISBN, check the ISBN against 9781421561325; anything else is not this book, so ask the seller what it is and how many books it takes to complete.
If you liked it
VIZ’s Uzumaki page also lists other Junji Ito books in deluxe editions, including Tomie: Complete Deluxe Edition and Gyo (2-in-1 Deluxe Edition). Our completed manga collecting guide lists Uzumaki among the shortest complete routes, and Uzumaki: seeing spirals before alarm reads the opening pages of the licensed preview without spoiling the town’s fate. The Uzumaki catalog page records the edition.
