The dolphin-trainer answer came from Yuri. She suggested putting it on a fake physics test to make Angel look foolish. By the time the group discusses what name to put on that sheet, Ōyama is using their own proposed forgery as evidence of its supposed author's stupidity. The fraud has persuaded a member of the team before it has even reached its target. This is more revealing than the group's failure to know her name. They have constructed a version of Angel convenient to the operation, then begun reasoning from that construction as though she supplied it. Otonashi's objection returns them to a small fact: even the person they are trying to embarrass would know her own name. Ōyama's confidence deserves no credit for consistency. It is consistent only because the premise and the conclusion came from the same invention, with Angel's actual answers never needed at either end.
