The objection is that this is a villain claiming the heroes' every move helped him, which is a cheat any writer can pull. Concede it half way. Pucci's plan does need the Joestars: Jotaro's memory disc and the cape's position; and DIO's notebook, the plan's source, was burned by the Joestar who killed him, which is why Pucci needs Jotaro's memory. The whole Part is the hero's family being used as components. What redeems the sentence is that the claim is made sincerely, by a man who believes providence is on his side, and the ending answers him in his own terms. He reaches Heaven, and the universe he makes has Emporio in it, who kills him, and the world that replaces it has a Joestar in it anyway, a girl named Irene. Being pushed toward the goal by the Joestars was the true part. He just mistook which direction they were pushing.

Pucci counts prime numbers to calm himself, the way another man might count breaths, and here the mechanism is shown breaking: he gets to 28, which is not prime, corrects himself, and gives up in favor of complaining about his trousers. Everything the character is sits in that stumble. A priest who talks about heaven and gravity and fate is, under a rain of frogs, a vain man worried about the dry-cleaning, and the frogs are venomous, so the vanity is being indulged at real risk. Araki gives his most abstract villain a body with expensive tastes so the abstraction has somewhere to fail.
